Forge Brands partnered with THE LAB to craft a brand identity that fuses scientific precision with the art of coffee brewing, positioning them as pioneers in innovative coffee experiences. THE LAB sought to distinguish itself in a competitive market by developing a brand identity that communicates innovation and the science behind coffee brewing. The challenge was to convey the experience of coffee making as both an art and a precise science, all within an innovative framework. Our approach delved into the heritage of scientific discovery, drawing parallels between the methodical nature of laboratory work and the precision of coffee brewing. Steering away from typical coffee-centric imagery, we embraced imagery inspired by scientific advancements, including archival materials, glassware, and the periodic table. These elements laid the foundation for a brand identity that appeals to both the heart and intellect of coffee enthusiasts, while positioning THE LAB as a forward-thinking entity. The experimental geometric font, SK Concretica, paired with a clean and modern aesthetic, became the cornerstone of this visual identity.
